You contact us via phone or email and information is gathered about you. If you like what we have to offer, a meeting is set for you and a compatible trainer to meet. At this initial meeting, you will discuss your goals and health history with the trainer. If you are still interested in personal training after this initial meeting, then a time is set for a customized fitness assessment for you.
A fitness assessment is performed at your second meeting with your trainer. What is a Fitness Assessment? It is a 45-60 minute exercise test that consists of taking your resting heart rate, blood pressure, body fat, lung function, muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, and flexibility. What is the purpose? It provides information on your current fitness level which will be used to design a truly customized and personalized fitness program based on your results.
With the information gathered from the fitness assessments mentioned above, a truly customized fitness program is created just for you based on your goals and your available time to dedicate to yourself. Whatever areas your assessment tests show that you are lacking in will be addressed along with your goals. For example, if your tests show that you are lacking in aerobic conditioning, then we will work on getting you more aerobically fit while still addressing the other three components of fitness (muscular strength and endurance, body fat, flexibility) along with whatever other goals you may have.
After the fitness assesments are through and a program is designed for you, then it is time for ongoing supervision of your new fitness program. Your personal trainer will come to you with all of the necessary equipment to ensure your success! You will continue to get fitness evaluations to include body fat testing for the duration of the program. This is to ensure that the program is working as it should and to serve as a motivation to you. If it is not working, then a new program is devised for you at no additional cost to you. You will continue to receive expert nutritional advice along with any other fitness related questions that you may have for your personal trainer for the duration of your program.
